As a passionate and highly-skilled therapist, I work to empower individuals to live a life full of meaning, purpose and joy. My approach is to work with compassion and understanding to provide my clients with supportive and relaxed space  to feel valued, heard and empowered to make the changes they desire and deserve in their lives.

I strongly believe that everyone has the right to heal, and the potential to change, and that everyone deserves the right to explore the options to do so. As a trauma therapist, I feel honoured to hold a space for my clients to gently and effectively work through their trauma experiences. I believe that all clients are the experts on themselves, and through our collaboration, we can lean into their innate knowledge of who they are and what they need, and my clinical skills, and together we can safely recover and heal from their trauma, and move towards an empowered place of post traumatic growth and meaning.

I also understand that every client is unique and employs a variety of specialised therapeutic techniques and modalities to meet the needs of each client. My therapeutic expertise ranges from Narrative Therapy to Cognitive Behaviour Therapy (CBT), Trauma based strategies and techniques  to mindfulness, and strong feminist and humanistic values. I am trained in Eye Movement Desensitisation Reprocessing Therapy (EMDR) Schema Therapy, Trauma informed CBT, Narrative Therapy, and various trauma based strategies and interventions, as well as a diverse of education and training in couples counselling. I also have a special interest and feminist and humanistic trauma informed approaches.

I support clients with a variety of issues ranging from traumatic events, relationship and intimacy issues, anxiety, depression, mental health, grief and loss and transitional life changes. From feeling slightly stuck in life, to grieving the loss of a loved one – I truly believe in the therapeutic process and provides a place for people experiencing challenges to feel safe and turn their life around.

Alongside my private practice, I am currently a Lecturer in Sexual Health (Sexology) at The University of Sydney, and previously at The Australian College of Applied Psychology (Masters in Psychotherapy - Trauma and Grief). My qualifications include a Bachelor in Psychotherapy & Counselling, Masters in Sexology and Sexual Health, Bachelor of Journalism and a Graduate Certificate in Higher Education.

I also contribute my professional expertise to the media via interviews, advice or columns.
