Joy Through Therapy is led by the renowned and innovative Psychotherapist & Relationship Counsellor, Amanda Robb. As a passionate and highly-skilled therapist, Amanda works to empower individuals to live a life full of meaning, purpose and joy. It is through compassion and understanding that Amanda provides a supportive and relaxed space for her clients to feel valued, heard and empowered to make a positive change in all aspects of their life.

Amanda’s strongly believes that everyone has the right to heal, and the potential to change, and that everyone deserves the right to explore the options to do so.

She also understands that every client is unique and employs a variety of specialised therapeutic techniques and modalities to meet the needs of each client. Amanda’s therapeutic expertise ranges from Narrative Therapy to Cognitive Behaviour Therapy (CBT), Positive Psychology to mindfulness with strong feminist and humanistic values.

Amanda supports clients with a variety of issues ranging from traumatic events, relationship and intimacy issues, anxiety, depression, mental health, grief and loss and transitional life changes. From feeling slightly stuck in life, to grieving the loss of a loved one – Amanda truly believes in the therapeutic process and provides a place for people experiencing challenges to feel safe and turn their life around.

Alongside her private practice, Amanda is currently a teacher at The University of Sydney and The Australian College of Applied Psychology. Her qualifications include a Bachelor in Psychotherapy & Counselling, Masters in Sexology and Sexual Health, Bachelor of Journalism and a Graduate Certificate in Higher Education.
